The Ambiator is a cost-effective alternative to traditional air conditioning, ensuring you enjoy cooling comfort with significantly lower electricity bills and reduced environmental impact. This system merges cutting-edge technology with eco-friendly design to deliver the cooling power of an air conditioner at the cost efficiency of a cooler. It is also the only packaged cooling product that can be run using solar panels. It’s the ideal solution for those who prioritise health, comfort and energy savings.
The Ambiator provides cool, 100% fresh air into indoor spaces to maintain indoor temperatures between 24°C and 28°C. Click here for a video with more information.
The Ambiator comes in one modular size of 5 TR Capacity sufficient for cooling a space of 750 square feet. It delivers up to 2200 CFM of air at 10 mm static pressure.
The Ambiator is perfect for large indoor spaces where traditional air conditioning is too expensive and air cooling is inadequate. The Ambiator can effectively cool spaces between 750 and 1000 sft.
Larger spaces are cooled by adding multiple Ambiator modules. For example, if you have a space that needs 50 tons of cooling, you would use 10 modules of the Ambiator 5 TR to effectively cool the entire area.
The Ambiator is a quiet cooling solution with inside sound levels under 50 dba - equal to the sound level of home air conditioning.
The Ambiator can be used as a Pre-Cooling Unit for existing Treated Fresh Air (TFA) units by ducting the Ambiator’s Supply Air to the TFA's Air Ingress plenum. Each Ambiator can reduce up to 10 TR outdoor air heat load resulting in significant energy savings during the high temperature seasons.
Yes, we are currently building up the network and supply chain and aim to bring it to market by 2027. You can watch the demo here.
The Ambiator cools air in two stages. First, it employs dry cooling through a heat exchanger, lowering the air temperature without adding humidity. In the second stage, it uses an advanced evaporative cooling process to introduce humidity and further cool the air. The Ambiator’s patented evaporative cooling technique ensures efficient and effective cooling.
No, unlike air coolers that add humidity at higher temperatures, the Ambiator’s lower temperatures ensure that the added humidity feels comfortable and non-sticky.
The AMBIATOR consumes 1 kW of power per hour, with the possibility of saving additional energy with an inbuilt IoT device that optimizes electricity consumption.
The Ambiator’s water usage varies depending on the outside temperature. In cooler conditions, it consumes less water, while in hotter conditions it requires more. On average, the Ambiator uses between 0 and 6 liters of water per hour per ton of cooling when the temperature exceeds 42°C.
The Ambiator comes with a control panel to save energy when the outside temperatures are low. Our smart IoT controller provides remote monitoring, control and reporting via an app and web browser.
Through the Ambiator app, you can:
• control the on-off settings and set the temperature
• continuously monitor the health of the Ambiator
• Schedule the preventative maintenance cycle
• Communicate with your installer and then us, the manufacturer, in case the app reports an issue
• Identify issues before any serious damage occurs to your machine
• Track your energy consumption and environmental impact
The Ambiator is scalable to any capacity. For example, by grouping 5 modules together, you can achieve 25 TR cooling. Alternatively, by arranging 25 units in 2 rows, you can reach 250 TR. The possibilities are endless, depending on the specific application. For larger spaces, groups of 10 Ambiator units can be positioned at different locations to provide 50 TR cooling per area, reducing unnecessary ducting costs and capital expenditure.
Multiple Ambiator modules can be combined to meet cooling requirements for larger spaces. For instance, to cool a space needing 50 tons of cooling, you would use 10 Ambiator 5 TR modules.
We recommend using minimal ducting and opting for eyeball diffusers, also known as jet nozzles. These allow air to travel farther, reducing the overall cost of ducting. If ducting cannot be avoided, we still recommend using jet nozzles instead of traditional air conditioning grilles for improved efficiency and performance.
The Ambiator has a compact design with dimensions of 0.75m (width), 1.0m (depth), and 2m (height). We recommend leaving a clearance of 1 meter behind the unit for easy maintenance.
The duct opening is 600mm in width and 900mm in height. A 20mm all-around flange is included for seamless connection to a flexible transitioning duct. Detailed outer dimensions are available in the technical drawing: Here -AMBIATOR - Technical Drawing 2024
At the duct opening, the face velocity is below 2.5 meters per second (500 fpm). For optimal performance, we recommend designing ducting for under 7 m/s with an aspect ratio of 1:1.5 or using under the false ceiling systems with ducting upto 10 m/s.
The Ambiator provides an external static pressure of 10mm. Additional static pressure can be achieved by using inline booster fans.
As the Ambiator operates as a ventilative cooling system, it is recommended to exhaust 90% of the air introduced by the unit to maintain fresh air inside the space. This can be achieved by installing an array of exhaust fans or an exhaust duct system.
Yes, an existing return air duct can be used as an exhaust air duct with some modifications.
The Ambiator requires a single-phase 230V power supply. This can be sourced from the grid or from an inverter connected to solar power.
The Ambiator uses a standard water input line, similar to those used for washing machines. The unit is supplied with a 2-meter inlet pipe. Aftermarket washing machine inlet pipes up to 3 meters are also readily available. To prevent damage, the water pressure should not exceed 4 bar.
The Ambiator requires a 12.5mm flexible pipe for the drain line. A 2-meter pipe is included with the equipment.
The Ambiator features a smart control panel that serves as the system's brain, managing all processes and functions to deliver an optimal experience.
With our advanced IoT controller, you also gain access to the Ambiator app, enabling remote monitoring, control, and reporting for seamless operation.
Through the Ambiator app or web browser, you can:
• Control the on-off settings and set the temperature
• Continuously monitor the health of the Ambiator
• Schedule the preventative maintenance cycle
• Communicate with your installer and then us, the manufacturer, in case the system senses an issue with the preventative maintenance
• Identify issues before any serious damage occurs to your machine
• Track your energy consumption and environmental impact
The app service is free for the first year and can be extended with a Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Plan. For enterprises wishing to integrate with their own BMS systems, APIs are available as an additional service.
